Please join us at Deception Pass State Park on August, 5th to help celebrate the 40th anniversary of the PNTA and the first five end-to-end thru-hikes of the Pacific Northwest Trail in 1977! Thank you all for saving the date for this event, which is FREE with admission to Deception Pass State Park.

9 - 12:00  Early bird's guided hike of the Tursi Trail (park at the Pass Lake Trailhead, shown below)
11 - 5:30  West Beach Shelter History Exhibit & PNTA Info Booth
1 - 3:00   Guided hike on the PNT to Goose Rock
3 - 4:00   "How Do We Connect" presented by Rosie Matsumoto
6 - 7:00   A very special presentation, by PNTA founder, Ron Strickland
7 - 7:30   Win great gear in our outdoor product raffle
8 - 9:30   Amphitheater screening of the film, "A Sense of Direction," by Alex Maier

In addition to the scheduled events, this all-day event will include:

- “A Hiker's Philosophy” - PNT book signing with Alex Maier
- A chance to socialize with other PNT enthusiasts, trail legends, and thru-hikers
- Beach access, picnic tables and charcoal grills
- A beer garden sponsored by Base Camp Brewing!

Right:  The North Beach Amphitheater is just a short walk from the West Beach Shelter. It offers nearby parking and access to North Beach.
