Job Corps Olympic Peninsula Trip July 26 - 30, 2004

Letter from Kathe Smith, Volunteer Coordinator for Clallam County Parks:

I wanted to take a minute to send a big "thanks for a job well done". Let them know how impressed the Trails Planner and I were at the work your Job Corp crew did for us last week.

The crew punched in just over 1000' of sidehill trail while they were here. It was to spec and just very well done.  What we ended up with is a trail segment I can, without reservation, show to any crew I bring in and say, "This is what I'd like you to build."  I guess the icing on the cake for me was that the tools, every one of them, was returned sharpened and in good repair.

The skilled leadership Tim provided is a real selling point coupled with the strong, willing labor of the corpmen.  Thank you.

The following pictures were taken during a one week trip to the Olympic Peninsula. The crew constructed new trail on DNR 2nd growth tiber land in Clallam County.
