Job Corps Trail Crew 8
10/4/04 - 11/11/04

This particular Job Corps trail crew was assigned the task of rebuilding a bridge on the Green Water Trail just outside of Enumclaw, WA. The old bridge had been snapped in two by a fallen old growth Fir, and our job was to turn the Fir into the new bridge. Work for this project included removing the post and rails from the old bridge, removing bark, leveling, notching, and hoisting into place the new bridge. Once that was complete, adding posts and rails to the new bridge, and removing the old bridge completely. All and all, after a lot of hard work the Green Water River is now passable once again.
