Olympic PeninsulaQuimper Trail Association"Our workdays are the 1st Sunday of every month from 10 am-2 pm (approx). Worksites will fluctuate between Gibbs Lake and Anderson Lake. Also, we will be building a new trail between the two lakes! Meeting places will be determined and announced before each work party. For questions or comments, PLEASE contact:
Howdy QTA Folks! This Saturday, February 5th from 9am-Noon, and The Saturday workparty is sponsored by Backcountry Horsemen Buckhorn Range Chapter, and the Sunday workparty is sponsored by the Quimper Trails Association. I’ll be out there both days. Show up for whatever workparty you’d like (or both!), meet at Anderson Lake by the kiosk, and bring workgloves, water, boots that can get muddy, and a shovel if you have one. And a special thanks to QTA vice-president Jim Shaver for getting out there and doing some pre-drainage work to make the holes less muddy to work in. Jim must have been swimming in mud, and thanks to him we won’t need those hip waders after all. We’ll be building new gravel trail over some wet areas of existing muddy trail. The work will consist of digging some small trenches, laying in some culvert, putting down landscaping fabric, Geocell, and two layers of different types of gravel. We’ll be putting three power wheelbarrows and possibly a Kubota tractor to use to transport the materials along the trail and put them to use. Many hands (and power equipment) should make for light work, and we’d love to have you along. Hope to see you out on the trail! Peninsula Trails Coalition Work PartiesFor trail work contact:

Each person working will have to sign a liability release form. Parents or guardians of those under 18 must sign for the minor. For information call 360-424-0407 anytime up until 8 a.m. the morning of the work party. Tools will be provided--hazel hoes, loppers, McLeods, Pulaskis, chain saws, brush cutters. You may bring your own tools if you wish. If you can only work until noon, please call ahead to see if the work site will be conducive to your leaving
