Through participation in day-long outdoor educational or week-long campouts, youth participates do trail maintenance and construction, campground restoration, and restoration and mitigation projects.
We consider ourselves to be the primary protectors of the Pacific Northwest Trail and are advocates on the trail’s behalf.
There is more than 800 miles to the eastern end of the PNT and 400 miles to the western end. Since we’ve got a lot of ground to cover, we rely on local chapters to help us with much of the tough work like trail construction and maintenance.
We work hard every day to protect the Pacific Northwest Trail. We maintain the trail, we build new connections, and lead volunteer projects on a regular basis.
In 2016 we’ll keep doing all that and will be focusing on a few timely priority projects.
